The total sum (including the compulsory €50.00 registration costs and other non-compulsory choices above) is therefore: €……………………………………………and I will pay it as follows: €………………………………………in full, with this Registration, or,

Upon registration: €……………..…(being 60% of the total course fee, plus the €50 registration costs)
Balance: €……………………….…(being the balance of 40%, payable within 6 months from today).
- No interest is payable on the outstanding balance, except in the event of my defaulting with my payments (see next sub-paragraph, below).
- I accept that if any payment is not paid on time I will not receive any further lectures until such payments are brought up to date. I also understand and agree that if I fall behind with my payments the full outstanding balance nevertheless remains owing and payable by me- and in such an event EWA will give me 30 days written notice to bring my arrears payments up to date, and should I refuse or fail to do so EWA will then be entitled to take legal action against me to recover such outstanding balance, as well as interest of 10% per annum, reckoned on the outstanding balance, as well as all legal costs.
General
1. I understand and agree that, as part of my registration process, I will receive two further EWA documents: (the “Student Information & Policies Handbook”, which is a document that essentially details the relevant policies which are already shown on the web site, but in more detail; and a second document: the Course Introduction & Syllabus) immediately after submitting this Registration form; and that these documents are to be read in conjunction with this Registration form, and so jointly constitute the agreement between myself and EWA.
2. If I am not satisfied with the terms and conditions in:
2.1. this Registration form or the,
2.2. Student Information & Policies Handbook, or the
2.3. Course Introduction & Syllabus, or
2.4. with the contents or academic standard of at least the first lecture, which I will receive within the said cooling-off period of 14 (fourteen) days of my course – (in order to give the student a fair opportunity to see and assess the academic standard of the lectures in any given course, every student receives at least the first lecture in his/her particular course, immediately upon finalization of that student’s registration, and sometimes it is more than just the first lecture). In this way the student has more than enough time, within the 14 day cooling-off time frame, to decide if he/she is satisfied with the contents and standard of the lectures and course),
I have the legal right, within 14 (fourteen) days from today’s date, to cancel this registration in writing, which decision I will communicate to EWA in writing. EWA shall then repay all course fees paid within said 14 days, minus €100 (one hundred euro) cancellation costs and the registration costs. Such Notices of Cancellation shall only be effective if actually received by EWA, to which effect such student shall be informed by the EWA, by email, that it has received such Notice of Cancellation. If I do not so cancel my registration within said 14 days EWA may legally assume that I am satisfied with all the points set out in par 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 above, and my registration as a student of EWA will continue as such, and no fees will be repayable in the event of my choosing, after the said 14 days period, to stop with my course, for any reason whatsoever.
3. The above course fee only covers those costs as specifically set out in the Course description.
4. Exam fees are compulsory but only payable when the exams are done, (at the end of a module, or course), but most students prefer to pay these exam fees (€30 per module) at the beginning, together with the course fee, as this saves them bank costs (banks often charge minimum bank costs no matter the size of the payment). However, this is entirely the student’s choice; there is no obligation to pay these exam fees at the beginning.
5. I consent to the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts in the event of any legal dispute between us.
6. This registration is not valid unless it is signed by the student (and, in the event of someone else paying for the student, that person’s signature) and payment of the amounts above has been received in full by the EWA. The date of the student’s signature shall be the date of registration for all purposes hereunder.
Payments
Only by bank transfer: As we strive to keep our course fees reasonable and affordable we do not accept credit card payments or similar payments, as these always leads to course fee increases. Therefore all payments have to be made by you giving your bank an instruction to pay the relevant sum into our bank account. However, you should use our bank’s international codes (see below) as this is not only more time efficient but could save you some bank costs.
Because of problems some students have experienced with money transfer services (like PayPal etc.), and because in the end it is cheaper for the student and for us we do not, at this stage, accept such payment methods.
Remember to include the exam fees (if that is your decision), and if you want the DVD (€20) and/or the Sommelier (€18), also add the respective shipping costs (if it is more because of where you live EWA will inform you). If you decide to order both the DVD and the Sommelier the shipping costs could be less, so ask us first for a quote.
Remember also that all bank costs have to be paid by the student, so that EWA receives the full payment, without the deduction of bank or transfer costs. Make sure your payment contains a reference to your name and course and it is paid into the above bank account (all bank costs to be covered by yourself, so when arranging payment through your bank make sure that you first enquire what the total bank costs will be, and add that on to the course fee and registrations costs).
